Victorious result for Croatia. Placed second in group D, the « red, white and blue » colours have qualified for the last 16 of Euro 2021. Thanks to its victory; 3-1 against Scotland; this Tuesday 22 June; it could obtain its ticket.
Indeed, Luka Modric and his teammates did the job and finished second in group D behind England. With this success, the Croatians are back on track and regain some confidence, which their beginning of the Euro had not been able to offer them, between a point painfully snatched against the Czechs (1-1) and a defeat without any flavor against England (1-0).
In fact; at the break, the score was 1-1 and everyone, Croatian and Scottish, was out. So Modric took matters into his own hands. First he scored with an extraordinary right-footed shot into the top corner; and Croatia were through (2-1, 62nd).
So; they will play their 8th final this Monday 28 June, in Copenhagen; against the second of group E (Sweden, Slovakia, Spain or Poland).
