GFA schedules August 2026 safety seminar for Ghana Premier League clubs
The Ghana Football Association will hold a one-day virtual safety seminar for Premier League clubs ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Ghana Football Association will organise a one-day virtual safety and security seminar for Ghana Premier League clubs before the 2026/27 campaign begins. The session is planned for a date between August 26 and 28, 2026.
The seminar forms part of the association’s preparations for the new season and will focus on helping clubs apply the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols. It will also address the requirements set out in the Premier League Regulations.
Club management teams and the officers responsible for safety and security will be central to the online engagement. The programme is intended to clarify their duties in making sure matchdays are safe, secure and properly organised.
Participants will consider how clubs can improve preparation and cooperation before, during and after matches. Risk prevention, crowd management and the effective running of matchday operations are among the areas to be covered.
The association will also stress the role of clubs in educating and involving supporters, coaches, players and staff. That work will include promoting the official Code of Conduct, responsible behaviour and established safety and security practices.
The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season is due to start over the weekend of September 4–7, 2026. The campaign is scheduled to finish over the weekend of May 28–31, 2027, leaving the seminar as part of the league’s pre-season preparations.
