
Alan March Sport seeks new commentators for St Mary's
Alan March Sport is recruiting volunteers to join their in-stadium commentary team at Southampton's home ground.
Alan March Sport is currently recruiting new members for its in-stadium commentary team at St Mary's. This recruitment drive aims to find individuals interested in football commentary, regardless of their previous experience in the field.
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training on the specialist commentary services provided by the organization. The program is designed to help individuals develop their existing abilities or identify new talent in those who have never used a microphone before.
Candidates must be able to commit to 70% of the home matches played by the Southampton men's and women's teams. This commitment includes cup competitions and pre-season fixtures. Applicants do not need to be supporters of Southampton FC to apply for the position.
All selected participants are required to attend a full day of training at St Mary's on July 12th, 2026. This session will run from 09:15 to 17:30. Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the date of this training session.
To apply, interested individuals should send an email to [email protected] using the subject line 'Southampton FC Commentary Application'. The deadline for submissions is 11:59pm on Wednesday, July 8th. However, the application window may close sooner if there are too many applicants.
This is a voluntary position. Those who participate will not be employees of either Alan March Sport Ltd or Southampton FC. Alan March Sport currently operates commentary teams for 20 clubs across the country, including Premier League sides such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, and Wolves.
