BKB 58 stars Trujillo, Gamboa and Ladd headline Miami workout

BKB 58’s leading names trained at KO Zone in Miami ahead of Saturday’s event, with heavyweight champion Gustavo Trujillo, Yuriorkis Gamboa and Aspen Ladd among the fighters on show. The card is scheduled for August 29 at the James L. Knight Center.

Trujillo’s title defence has changed at short notice after Mark O’Neill ran into visa problems. Mick Terrill has replaced him and will challenge Trujillo for the BKB heavyweight championship in the main event.

Terrill had been travelling to the United States to attend the event before contacting BKB about the vacant opponent slot. The promotion confirmed the new fight within roughly a day, keeping the heavyweight championship bout at the top of the bill. Terrill is a former champion in more than one bare-knuckle organisation and previously held BKB’s cruiserweight title.

Trujillo enters the contest with an unbeaten 8-0 record in BKB. Each of those eight promotional victories ended by first-round knockout. The champion has said he wanted to face the leading available challenger and believes the fight will demonstrate his standing in the division.

Gamboa has moved into the co-main event for his BKB debut against Yesner “Cuajadita” Talavera. The Cuban won Olympic gold in 2004 and later became a world champion in professional boxing, holding the WBA and IBF featherweight titles. He also shared the ring with Terence Crawford and Gervonta Davis. The Miami bout will be his first in BKB’s three-sided Trigon.

Ladd is also making her BKB debut when she faces Brazil’s Bianca Daimoni at super-lightweight. The former UFC and PFL contender already has bare-knuckle experience, having won a BKFC fight in the first round in November 2025. Daimoni has a 1-1 BKB record, while Ladd expects an aggressive contest rather than a decision.

The rest of the card includes Roberto Duran Jr. against Ryan Spivey, super-featherweight champion Alberto Blas defending against Brandon Birr, and Yunieski Gonzalez meeting Ethan George for the vacant cruiserweight title. The U.S. main card is due to air on VICE TV at 8 p.m. ET, with Telemundo and talkSPORT also carrying the event in their respective markets.
