Bournemouth agree Juventus loan deal for goalkeeper Di Gregorio

Michele Di Gregorio is set to travel for a Bournemouth medical after the Premier League club agreed a loan with Juventus and a €14m option.

Michele Di Gregorio is expected to travel to England for a Bournemouth medical after the Premier League club reached an agreement with Juventus. The deal includes a €1.5 million loan fee and a €14 million option to make the 29-year-old goalkeeper’s move permanent.

The transfer remains subject to the final details being completed and Di Gregorio passing his medical. He has already approved the move, with his departure from Juventus’ hotel expected shortly after the agreement was reached in only 48 hours.

Bournemouth moved ahead of Valencia and Marseille to secure the goalkeeper. Juventus had made both Di Gregorio and Mattia Perin available, while Guglielmo Vicario’s arrival has changed the club’s goalkeeping hierarchy and left Di Gregorio without the first-choice role.

Di Gregorio joined Juventus from Monza in 2024 and served as the Italian club’s main goalkeeper during the following two seasons. Across 84 matches, he recorded 36 clean sheets and conceded 84 goals. Last season, he conceded 36 goals and registered 37 clean sheets.

Bournemouth are listed third in the Premier League for 2026, although they have played no matches and have zero points with a 0-0 goal record. Their recent sequence is unbeaten, with victories over FC St. Pauli, Fulham and Crystal Palace, plus draws against Nottingham Forest and Manchester City.

The Cherries’ next listed fixture is away to Manchester City on August 23, 2026. Di Gregorio’s medical is the next stage before the loan agreement can be completed, with Bournemouth holding the option to keep him beyond the initial spell.
