Bulawayo organizers announce secret bush party via train journey

The Denim Bush Party will feature a mystery train trip from Bulawayo to a secret outdoor location on August 7 to promote tourism and social connection.

A new entertainment concept known as the Denim Bush Party is scheduled to take place on August 7. Participants will board a train from Bulawayo to an undisclosed bush location, with the specific destination remaining a secret until the group arrives.

Organizers Pardon Khanye and Lesley Masuku designed the event to move away from standard nightclub environments. The plan integrates a rail journey with outdoor recreation and a party held under the stars. By keeping the location hidden, the organizers intend to encourage guests to interact and form new connections during the transit.

Music will serve as a central element of the experience. Entertainment is set to begin once guests board the train, featuring various DJs including DJ Sweeto. The festivities will then transition to the bush venue upon arrival.

Beyond entertainment, the organizers aim to use the event to promote tourism by introducing guests to lesser-known outdoor destinations. Khanye expressed a goal for the concept to evolve into a larger brand that highlights unique areas surrounding Bulawayo.

Safety measures have been established to address the risks associated with a bush camp environment. The organizers are working with a security company to manage potential conflicts and protect guests from wild animals. This security presence is intended to ensure the safety of all attendees throughout the duration of the trip.
