Dusan Vlahovic agrees three-year contract with Besiktas

Former Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has reached an agreement on a three-year deal with Besiktas following his departure from the Italian club.

Dusan Vlahovic has agreed to personal terms for a three-year contract with Besiktas. The Serbian international becomes a free agent after his tenure at Juventus concluded on June 30.

Vlahovic spent four and a half years in Turin after moving from Fiorentina in January 2022 for €85.4m. His departure from Italy follows a period where several clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Roma, and Milan, were linked to the striker. However, those clubs did not meet his salary requirements, which facilitated the move to the Turkish Super Lig.

The proposed agreement includes a base salary of €8m per season. With performance bonuses, his annual earnings could reach €10m. Vlahovic and his agent are also set to receive a significant signing-on fee. Besiktas president Serdal Adali travelled to Belgrade to finalize the paperwork and is expected to return to Istanbul on Wednesday, August 12.

The transfer reunites the 26-year-old striker with coach Vincenzo Italiano. The two previously worked together at Fiorentina, and Italiano requested the signing. This move marks the end of Vlahovic's time in Serie A, a journey that began when he joined Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2018.
