Gabriele Oriali and Alberto Bollini join Mancini's Italy staff

Roberto Mancini has confirmed the new coaching staff that will support the Italy national team starting in September. Gabriele Oriali returns to the setup as team manager, while Alberto Bollini has been named as assistant coach.

Oriali, a member of the 1982 World Cup winning squad, previously held the team manager position under both Antonio Conte and Mancini. Bollini joins the staff following his work with Club Italia, where he helped lead the Under-19 side to the 2023 European Championship title.

The technical assistant roles will be filled by Leonardo Bonucci, Antonio Gagliardi, and Massimo Maccarone. Bonucci returns to the national team after a period on Gennaro Gattuso's coaching staff. Gagliardi, who served as a match analyst during the Euro 2020 tournament, returns to the Azzurri after coaching stints at Juventus, Parma, and clubs in Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Maccarone joins the senior national team for the first time. He previously worked with Mancini at Al Sadd in Qatar and has held coaching positions at Carrarese, Ghiviborgo, and Piacenza.

The full support staff includes goalkeeping coach Marco Roccati, assisted by Cristiano Lupatelli. The fitness department consists of Giacomo Ceci and Marco Montini, while Renato Baldi and Christian Venturini will serve as match analysts. This new structure will be in place for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against France, Belgium, and Turkïye.
