García makes strong start at Getafe in LaLiga 2026 campaign

García has made a strong start at Getafe, who sit eighth in LaLiga 2026 after taking three points from their opening two matches.

Getafe sit eighth in LaLiga 2026 with three points from their opening two matches. Their record is one win and one defeat, with one goal scored and three conceded, as García makes a strong start at the club.

The campaign began with a 1-0 victory over Osasuna. Getafe then lost 1-0 away to Elche, leaving them in the upper half of the early table but with a negative goal difference.

That opening league return follows a mixed sequence of results. Getafe drew 0-0 at Valladolid before beating Tenerife 2-1 away. They also defeated Reading FC 1-0, then added the win over Osasuna before the narrow loss at Elche.

The recent run therefore contains three victories, one draw and one defeat across five matches. The results against Reading FC and Osasuna were both decided by a single goal, while the success at Tenerife remains the only game in that sequence in which Getafe scored twice.

Getafe will next face Osasuna on 31 August 2026 in LaLiga. The fixture gives them an immediate opportunity to build on their current position and respond to the defeat at Elche, while García’s early progress remains a central feature of the team’s start.
