GFA talent hunt enters final stage for 2026 Elite Academy

The Ghana Football Association's Talent Identification Programme enters its concluding phase on Friday, August 7. This final stage focuses on the Northern and Upper East Regions to select candidates for the 2026 Elite Academy Schools.

Approximately 60 young male and female players are expected to participate in these assessments. These participants previously stood out during the first and second stages of the nationwide scouting process. They will now undergo evaluations conducted by accredited scouts and the GFA Technical Directorate.

The selection process aims to find promising young footballers and integrate their athletic development with academic progress. Successful candidates will earn spots at the Association's Elite Academy Schools, which are located at Achimota School, Prempeh College, and Bolgatanga Senior High School.

All final evaluations will take place at the Kurt E.S. Okraku Stadium. This venue was chosen as the GFA continues to build its player development pathway through this grassroots initiative.

The programme serves as a central part of the GFA's strategy to provide equal opportunities for gifted youngsters. By identifying and nurturing talent across the country, the association seeks to prepare young players for future professional success.
