Ghana football transfer deadline closes at 11:59 p.m. tonight

Ghanaian clubs have until 11:59 p.m. on August 23 to register new players for the 2025/26 football season.

The registration period for Ghana’s 2025/26 football season ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, leaving clubs with only hours to complete their business. Any deals intended to strengthen squads must be processed before the deadline expires.

Teams from the various divisions are working against the closing time as they seek to finalise signings. The deadline represents the last chance for clubs to add registered players during the current window.

The final hours are expected to be focused on completing outstanding negotiations and submitting the required registration details before the Ghana Football Association’s cut-off. Clubs that do not finish their business by 11:59 p.m. will have to continue with their current squads for the remainder of this registration period.

The timing gives teams little room for delays. With the window closing on August 23, clubs must ensure that any intended additions are secured and registered on the same day rather than left until the following week.

For sides seeking greater squad depth, the deadline is the final opportunity to make changes before another transfer window becomes available. The closing time therefore brings an end to the period in which clubs across Ghana’s divisions can recruit new players for the 2025/26 season.

Attention now turns to which clubs can complete their remaining moves before the clock reaches 11:59 p.m. Once the window closes, the registration process for new additions will no longer be available until the next transfer window.
