Flyweight Jose Ochoa has withdrawn from his scheduled bout against Charles Johnson at UFC 330. The fighter, who holds a professional record of 9-2 with one no-contest, will no longer compete this Saturday, August 15, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.

Promotion officials announced the change ahead of the media day held on Wednesday. The withdrawal is due to an injury sustained by Ochoa. Following this development, officials are now working to secure a new opponent for Charles Johnson, who enters the contest with a professional record of 19-9.

The flyweight matchup was originally positioned on the main card for the Philadelphia event. The card is headlined by a welterweight title fight between the champion, Islam Makhachev, and Ian Machado Garry. A second championship bout serves as the co-headliner, featuring Mackenzie Dern defending her strawweight title against Gillian Robertson.

Outside of these two title fights, the UFC 330 lineup does not include any ranked fighters. This absence of top-tier talent has led to criticism from fans regarding the level of star power present on the card.

With Ochoa officially removed from the roster, the promotion continues to look for a replacement to ensure Johnson remains on the main card for the August 15 event.
