Julian Vogel set for double youth title bout at SES Boxing Gala
Undefeated Aschersleben boxer Julian Vogel will defend his WBO Youth title and fight for the vacant IBF crown against Bakari Diallo on October 10.
Julian Vogel will compete for two youth world titles when the SES Boxing Gala takes place in Aschersleben on October 10, 2026. The 23-year-old local boxer will defend his WBO Youth World super welterweight championship against France’s Bakari Diallo while also challenging for the vacant IBF Youth World title.
Vogel enters the bout unbeaten with a professional record of 19 wins, no defeats and two draws, including 10 victories inside the distance. The contest will be the fifth defence of his WBO Youth belt and gives him the chance to add a second youth world championship to his achievements.
The meeting will also mark Vogel’s fourth appearance in his hometown. His previous home events have made him a central figure on the Aschersleben boxing programme, with supporters from the city and across Saxony-Anhalt expected to follow his latest title assignment.
Diallo, 22, held the IBF Youth title after winning it at welterweight in April 2025. The vacant status of the belt means the Frenchman and Vogel will be competing for it directly, while Vogel’s existing WBO championship will also be at stake in the same fight.
The full programme for the SES event has not yet been confirmed. Details of three title bouts and the additional contests on the card are due to be announced at a press conference.
The gala will be shown live by MDR through its “SPORT im Osten – Boxen live” programme. The broadcast will bring Vogel’s latest home-town title defence and the vacant IBF championship contest to viewers beyond the Aschersleben venue.
