Luke Jacobson calls for All Blacks to improve after Stormers win

Flanker Luke Jacobson has called for the All Blacks to address specific technical issues before they face the Sharks on Tuesday. The New Zealand side is looking to refine their performance following a 38-21 victory over the Stormers in Cape Town last Friday.

Despite the win, the All Blacks faced significant pressure in areas such as discipline and the scrum. The team conceded three yellow cards and multiple penalties at the scrum during the match against the Stormers. Jacobson noted that the squad is looking to tidy up these aspects of their game to avoid similar problems in the next fixture.

Jacobson, who is the second player to captain the side during the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry tour after Patrick Tuipulotu led the team against the Stormers, expects a physical contest. He anticipates that the Sharks will utilize strong mauls and scrums, similar to the South African style of play encountered previously.

He also highlighted the importance of defending against the kicking and chasing games prevalent in South African rugby. Jacobson expects the Sharks to test the All Blacks with the high ball, a tactic that was prominent in their last outing. Even with rain forecast for Tuesday, Jacobson stated that the team's professional training allows them to maintain their attacking style regardless of the weather.

Following the encounter with the Sharks, the All Blacks will continue their tour by traveling to Pretoria. They are scheduled to play the Vodacom Bulls on Saturday as part of the continuous tour schedule.
