Manchester City agree £34.2m deal for Palmeiras winger Allan
Manchester City have agreed a deal worth up to £34.2m for Palmeiras winger Allan Elias, with a medical expected in the coming days.
Manchester City have reached an agreement to sign Palmeiras winger Allan Elias in a deal that could rise to £34.2 million. The 22-year-old Brazilian is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days before completing the move to the Premier League champions.
The structure of the agreement includes an initial £32 million payment to Palmeiras, with a further £2.2 million available through add-ons. The deal will give City another Brazilian attacking option as they prepare for possible changes to their forward line before the transfer window closes.
Allan is being brought in as a replacement for compatriot Savinho, who is expected to move to Tottenham. Savinho’s potential departure has created space for City to strengthen on the wing, with Allan now set to join from the Brazilian club.
City are also continuing negotiations with Tottenham over Egypt forward Omar Marmoush. The discussions have not yet settled every detail, but there is confidence that the transfer has a strong possibility of being completed before the 1 September deadline.
The movement in the squad could extend beyond the attack. Spanish midfielder Nico Gonzalez has attracted strong interest from Newcastle and could also leave the Etihad Stadium before the window shuts.
Allan’s arrival would therefore form part of a wider reshaping of City’s squad, with the club working on both incoming and outgoing deals. His transfer remains subject to the medical and the completion of the final steps in the agreement with Palmeiras.
