Former Golden Eaglets defender Nwachukwu joins Difaâ El Jadida

Usulor Nwachukwu has joined Moroccan top-flight side Difaâ El Jadida, who finished sixth in the 2025 Botola Pro with 40 points. The club collected nine wins, 13 draws and eight defeats from 30 matches, scoring 30 goals and conceding 34.

The Nigerian centre-back arrives from Saudi Arabian club Al-Jabalin after spending the previous season with its youth team. That experience formed part of his progression towards senior football and has now been followed by a move to Morocco’s top division.

Nwachukwu previously represented Nigeria at under-17 level with the Golden Eaglets. His time in the national youth setup gave him international exposure as he developed as a central defender, before his move into Saudi Arabian football.

Difaâ El Jadida have recorded two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five matches. They beat Wydad AC 1-0 and UTS Rabat 2-1, drew 1-1 with Kawkab Marrakech and 2-2 away to Yacoub El Mansour, then lost 3-1 to Renaissance Berkane.

The El Jadida club, also known as Difaâ Hassani El Jadidi, competes in the Botola Pro D1 and is nicknamed Les Chevaliers de Doukkala. Nwachukwu’s arrival gives him the chance to test himself against established players in Moroccan football while continuing his development outside Nigeria.

He will now seek to earn a place in the first-team setup as he adapts to the demands of the Moroccan league. The move adds another North African opportunity for a Nigerian player with youth international experience and marks a new stage in the former Golden Eaglets defender’s career.
