Mauricio Sulaimán joins global icons for new book launch

WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán contributes to 'Behind The Brilliance', a new book featuring 15 sports figures with all proceeds going to charity.

Mauricio Sulaimán, the President of the World Boxing Council, has joined a group of international sports figures for the launch of a new book titled Behind The Brilliance. The publication features the personal stories and origin accounts of 15 influential individuals from the global sports industry.

British historian Paul Zanon authored the work, which was developed from an original concept by Connie Henry MBE, a former international athlete and social impact strategist. The book focuses on the personal struggles and turning points of these figures, examining how human resilience allows athletes to overcome adversity.

In his contribution, Sulaimán uses his experience leading the WBC to discuss how boxing discipline and sporting values can drive social inclusion and transformation for young people globally. His involvement highlights the responsibility of sports institutions and leaders to protect and inspire athletes both within and outside of professional competition.

The book is built upon 15 exclusive interviews that detail how the human spirit manages to prevail during difficult times. It aims to provide a deeper look at the meaning of success through individual personal narratives.

All profits from the international sale of Behind The Brilliance will be donated to the Behind The Brilliance Giving initiative. This fund is dedicated to supporting grassroots sports organizations, financing various community projects, and providing empowerment for future leaders and athletes. The book is currently available for purchase worldwide.
