Nate Diaz responds to Jake Paul's MMA challenge with four words

Nate Diaz has provided a four-word response to a recent MMA callout from Jake Paul. The 41-year-old fighter used the social media platform X to reply to Paul, tagging him in the post.

This interaction follows a video released by Paul, who announced the merger between MVP and PFL. In that video, Paul accused Diaz of ducking him and stated that a fight between the two is necessary to alter the history and landscape of combat sports. Paul expressed a desire to make the matchup happen for the sake of the sport.

The two athletes have a history in the ring, though not inside an MMA cage. In 2023, they competed in a professional 10-round boxing match at the American Airlines Center. That contest served as Diaz's debut in professional boxing, which Paul won by unanimous decision.

Diaz is looking to rebuild his MMA standing following a significant period away from the sport. His most recent MMA appearance occurred in May 2026 at MVP MMA: Rousey vs. Carano, where he faced Mike Perry. Perry won that fight via a second-round TKO following a corner stoppage.

Jake Paul has not competed since his sixth-round knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in December 2025. While Paul holds a boxing record of 12 wins and 2 losses, he has yet to make his professional MMA debut. He signed a multi-year contract with the PFL in 2023, but an MMA fight did not materialize at that time.
