Premier League: Man Utd urged to sign Osimhen after 2-0 defeat

Manchester United have been told Victor Osimhen could address their problems after the club’s 2-0 Premier League loss to Hull City.

Manchester United’s 2-0 Premier League defeat by Hull City has led to calls for the club to pursue Victor Osimhen. The 27-year-old Nigerian international has scored four goals in his first two matches for Galatasaray.

Turkish pundit Yetiş Yönetci believes Osimhen could make an immediate difference at Old Trafford if Manchester United complete a move for the striker. Yönetci’s assessment was that the Galatasaray forward could resolve the problems currently affecting the English club.

The recommendation comes after United were beaten by Hull City at the weekend. The result has placed greater focus on the team’s difficulties and on whether adding a proven forward would improve their performances.

Osimhen is already attracting interest from several major European clubs. Manchester United have been linked with him, while Arsenal and Atlético Madrid are also among the clubs associated with the Nigerian.

His early record at Galatasaray has strengthened the case made by Yönetci. Four goals in two appearances give Osimhen a strong start at the Turkish club and provide the basis for claims that he could have an immediate attacking influence elsewhere.

For Manchester United, the Hull City defeat is the immediate context behind the discussion. The club have been told that Osimhen’s scoring form and experience could help address their current problems, although the available information does not indicate that a transfer has been completed.
