Zadok makes winning Premier League debut as Brighton beat Villa 4-0

Nigerian teenager Zadok Yohanna came off the bench as Brighton completed a 4-0 Premier League victory over 10-man Aston Villa.

Zadok Yohanna made his Premier League debut as Brighton defeated Aston Villa 4-0 at home. The 19-year-old winger came on after Brighton had already scored four times against a Villa side reduced to 10 players.

The appearance gives Zadok a winning start to his Brighton career. His debut also ends speculation that the winger could leave the Premier League club on loan in the immediate future.

Zadok had limited time on the pitch because he was introduced only after the decisive work had been completed. Even so, he was involved enough to register 11 touches before the final whistle.

His individual numbers showed a brief but efficient contribution. He completed his only attempted pass, giving him a 100 per cent passing record, and was also successful with all four of his passes in the final third.

The winger attempted two dribbles and completed one. His performance received a 6.6 rating from Sofascore, while Soccerway gave him 6.5.

Brighton’s four-goal home victory provided the setting for Zadok’s first senior appearance in the Premier League. Although he was not involved for the full match, the result marked the start of his top-flight career at the club and placed his immediate future with Brighton rather than on loan elsewhere.
