Kaizer Chiefs return against Richards Bay in PSL 2026 on Wednesday
Kaizer Chiefs resume their PSL 2026 campaign against Richards Bay on 26 August, with the match moved to Princess Magogo Stadium.
Kaizer Chiefs return to South African Premier Soccer League action against Richards Bay on Wednesday, 26 August, with kick-off scheduled for 19:30. They sit second on seven points from three matches, having won two and drawn one, with six goals scored and two conceded.
The match will be played at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu, north of Durban, after the fixture was moved from Moses Mabhida Stadium. The change followed the unavailability of the original venue, with Richards Bay remaining the home side.
Chiefs have not played for 10 days, since drawing 1-1 with Mamelodi Sundowns. That result followed a 2-0 victory over Sekhukhune United and left Amakhosi unbeaten in their opening three league matches. Their recent overall record also includes a 3-1 win away to Kruger United, alongside defeats by Golden Arrows and Elche.
The points position gives Chiefs the chance to move to 10 points with a victory in KwaMashu. Richards Bay have two points from their first three league matches and are still searching for their first win of the campaign.
Supporters who bought tickets for the fixture do not need to purchase replacements after the venue change. Tickets remain available for R100 through OpenTickets and at Shoprite, Checkers and Usave stores nationwide.
The match is the next step in a positive early league campaign for Chiefs, who will aim to preserve their unbeaten PSL record while Richards Bay seek to use home surroundings to change their start.
