Raven Chapman stable after emergency surgery for brain injury

British boxer Raven Chapman is currently in stable condition following emergency surgery to treat a serious brain injury. The fighter underwent the procedure after collapsing during a sparring session in Denmark on July 24.

Medical professionals diagnosed Chapman with a brain hematoma and cerebral edema. Following the surgical intervention, she was placed into an induced coma to assist with her recovery process.

According to her team, Chapman has now been taken off sedation. She is currently awaiting a transfer to the United Kingdom, where her ongoing rehabilitation will take place.

To assist with the financial requirements of her recovery, family members and close friends have launched a fundraising campaign. This initiative is intended to cover both medical expenses and the costs associated with her repatriation to Britain.

Chapman is a recognized competitor in the featherweight division. In 2024, she challenged Skye Nicolson for the WBC Featherweight World Title.

Members of the international boxing community have expressed support for the British fighter during this period of recovery.
