Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez sign pre-nuptial agreement
Details have emerged regarding the pre-nuptial agreement signed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez ahead of their Lisbon wedding.
Details of a pre-nuptial agreement signed by Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, have been disclosed. The couple married in an intimate civil ceremony in Lisbon on Tuesday. The event was attended by their children and four witnesses, though Ronaldo's mother and three siblings were not present.
The ceremony was conducted by registrar Maria Manuel Ferreira de Campos Folhadela de Oliveira, who traveled from Porto to Cascais to officiate. A marriage certificate published by the Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias confirms the details of the union. The document lists the 41-year-old Ronaldo, including his birthplace and the names of his parents, such as his late father Jose Dinis. It also lists 32-year-old Georgina, who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
According to the revealed information, the couple signed a pre-nuptial agreement on August 10, one day before the wedding. This agreement was completed at a public notary's office in Lisbon to establish their property regime. The arrangement ensures that Ronaldo and Rodriguez will keep their respective assets separate.
Both individuals will retain their original names following the marriage. This differs from the custom in the United Kingdom, where married women typically adopt their husband's surname. The legal framework for their assets was established through the formal signing of the document prior to the civil ceremony.
