Strasbourg make enquiries for Ghana defender Kojo Oppong Peprah
RC Strasbourg have expressed interest in OGC Nice defender Kojo Oppong Peprah as they seek to strengthen their backline for the new season.
RC Strasbourg have made enquiries regarding the availability of Ghana international Kojo Oppong Peprah. The 22-year-old defender currently plays for OGC Nice in Ligue 1.
The Alsatian club is looking to add depth to its defensive unit before the new football season begins. This search for reinforcements follows a failed attempt to sign Senegal international Ibrahima Ba, who did not pass his medical examination. Strasbourg are also facing uncertainty regarding the future of Ismaël Doukouré.
Oppong Peprah has gained attention in the French top flight following a strong debut campaign. His tactical awareness and defensive capabilities have made him a target for clubs seeking emerging talent. A move to Strasbourg would allow the defender to continue gaining regular experience within Ligue 1.
The defender has also gained significant international experience. He was a member of the Ghana squad during the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. During that tournament, the Black Stars reached the Round of 32, marking their first progression beyond the group stage since the 2010 World Cup.
While negotiations have not reached an advanced stage, the interest from Strasbourg highlights the rising profile of the Ghanaian defender. The club continues to assess its options as the summer transfer window progresses.
