TS Galaxy FIFA registration ban lifted ahead of 2026 PSL season

TS Galaxy’s FIFA registration ban has been lifted, allowing the South African Premier Soccer League club to register players and use its full squad again. The development comes with the transfer window open until 21 September.

The sanction was caused by a delay in bringing the club onto FIFA’s Clearing House system. It was not linked to money owed to a player, distinguishing it from previous action against Galaxy over unpaid amounts involving foreign players who had taken legal steps.

Galaxy are currently ninth in the 2026 PSL standings with five points from four matches. They have one win, two draws and one defeat, with seven goals scored and seven conceded.

Their recent sequence includes a goalless draw away to Golden Arrows, a 3-2 win against Mamelodi Sundowns FC, a 1-1 draw with Chippa United, a 1-1 draw away to Marumo Gallants FC and a 2-1 victory over Durban City. The record leaves the Rockets with a balanced start while the squad restriction has now been removed.

The lifting of the ban gives Galaxy the option to pursue further business before the window closes and provides coach Parker with access to the entire squad for the rest of the campaign. The club had been working to settle the administrative matter after the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Galaxy’s next fixture is away to Sekhukhune United on 5 September in the PSL. They will enter that match with the registration issue resolved and the opportunity to strengthen their squad still available.
