Wanda Diamond League 2026 press conferences set in Zurich

The final qualifying places for the 2026 Wanda Diamond League Final will be at stake when the circuit reaches Zurich this week. The penultimate meeting of the season will take place at Letzigrund Stadium on Thursday, with Brussels awaiting the athletes who secure their places in the series finale.

A programme of pre-meeting press conferences will begin on Tuesday, 25 September, at 16:00 local time (GMT/UTC+2). United States pole vaulters Katie Moon and Sandi Morris will be the first athletes scheduled to speak to the media.

Wednesday’s sessions will start at 13:30 with Swiss 800m runner Audrey Werro, Sweden’s pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis and Kenya’s Emmanuel Wanyonyi. Their events will feature prominently in Zurich, with Werro and Wanyonyi representing the 800m field and Duplantis competing in the pole vault.

At 14:00, the line-up will include Norway’s 400m hurdles specialist Karsten Warholm, Netherlands 800m athlete Femke Broeders-Bol and Swiss 100m hurdles runner Ditaji Kambundji. Kambundji is one of four Swiss athletes listed for the home meeting, alongside Werro, Simon Ehammer and Jason Joseph.

The 14:45 session will bring together Ehammer, Norway’s 1500m runner Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Joseph, who competes in the 110m hurdles. Ingebrigtsen is among the athletes seeking to strengthen his position before the last qualifying opportunities for the Brussels final.

The final media session is scheduled for 15:15 and will feature Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred, United States sprinter Melissa Jefferson-Wooden and American 100m hurdles athlete Masai Russell. Alfred and Ingebrigtsen are among the leading names chasing qualification, while Alfred, Russell and the other headline athletes add to a strong programme at Zurich. The meeting also includes a women’s pole vault field led by Moon and Olympic champion Nina Kennedy, who is listed among the competitors but not in the press-conference schedule.
