2026 LCB Corporate Games open with 16 port and logistics firms

Sixteen companies and institutions from Ghana’s port and logistics sector are taking part in the 2026 LCB Corporate Games, which have entered their fifth edition. The competition brings together businesses from the ports, shipping, freight and logistics industries for a programme combining sport with workplace interaction.

The event is scheduled to run for between 12 and 14 weeks, with fixtures being played in the Accra and Tema zones. The strongest teams from each zone will progress to a final, where the overall champion will be decided.

The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority is represented by two teams: its Fire Department and Mechanical Department sides. GPHA has featured regularly in the competition, alongside other organisations whose operations are linked to Ghana’s port and logistics industry.

LCB Worldwide Ghana Limited is staging the games through its corporate social responsibility programme. The company is using the event to engage businesses in the sector and raise awareness of its disinfection services, which remain less familiar to some members of the wider community.

The organisers also see the tournament as a way to encourage employees to adopt healthier lifestyles while creating opportunities for professional relationships to develop away from normal workplace duties. Participants from institutions that work together in the port environment are able to compete, meet socially and build stronger links through the games.

The overall winners will receive GH¢20,000. The first and second runners-up are set to collect GH¢10,000 and GH¢5,000 respectively, with the competition continuing in Accra and Tema before the finalists meet.
