Al-Etisalat SC sign Ghanaian midfielder Micheal Kyei

Micheal Kyei has completed a move to Iraqi side Al-Etisalat SC following his departure from Al-Dhahra on 12 August 2026.

Al-Etisalat SC have completed the signing of Ghanaian central midfielder Micheal Kyei. The 26-year-old player joined the Iraqi club on 12 August 2026 following his exit from Al-Dhahra.

Kyei spent the 2025-26 season with the Libyan side Al-Dhahra. He had arrived at the club on 1 October 2025 after leaving Asante Kotoko on a free transfer. His move to Al-Etisalat SC marks the end of his single campaign in Libya.

The right-footed midfielder previously played for Asante Kotoko in Ghana. He joined the Kotoko squad on 3 September 2023 after moving from WAFA SC. This period in the Ghanaian league provided the domestic experience that preceded his move to North Africa.

Kyei brings a specific statistical record to his new club. He has made 73 appearances in the Premier League, recording two goals and one assist during those matches. Additionally, he has featured in 17 games within the Libyan Premier League.

Standing 1.74m tall, the midfielder will now integrate into the Al-Etisalat SC squad. His career has transitioned through various levels of football in Ghana and North Africa before this latest move to Iraq.
