Ampem Darkoa reach 2026 WAFU B final after 4-1 win over Dynamique

Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Benin’s FC Dynamique 4-1 to reach the 2026 WAFU B final, where they will face Nigeria’s Edo Queens.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies defeated Benin’s FC Dynamique 4-1 in Ouagadougou to reach the final of the 2026 WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers. The Ghanaian champions will meet Nigeria’s Edo Queens on Saturday, September 5, with a place in the 2026/27 CAF Women’s Champions League at stake.

Ampem Darkoa established control in the first half at the August 4 Stadium. Milot Pokuaa opened the scoring in the 16th minute after being played through on goal, and Rebecca Asemani extended the advantage 12 minutes later. Gloria Adomako then added a third before the interval, giving the Techiman-based side a 3-0 lead.

Pokuaa completed her brace after the break to restore a three-goal advantage following Dynamique’s response. The Benin side pulled one back, but the goal did not alter the outcome as Ampem Darkoa secured a fourth consecutive victory in Burkina Faso.

The result preserves the Ghanaian side’s perfect record in the qualifiers. They have won all four of their matches, scoring 11 goals and conceding two. Pokuaa’s two-goal display also continued her important contribution to a campaign that has taken Ampem Darkoa through to the decisive fixture.

Ampem Darkoa could have added a fifth goal, but captain Victoria Bangui missed a penalty before the final whistle. Their reward is a repeat meeting with Edo Queens, whom they faced in the last Group B fixture. The final will again be played at the August 4 Stadium, with the winner earning WAFU Zone B’s qualification place for the next CAF Women’s Champions League.
