Andre Ayew in talks with two or three clubs over next move this season
Ghana veteran Andre Ayew says he is negotiating with two or three clubs as he seeks to continue his playing career after leaving NAC Breda.
Andre Ayew is negotiating with two or three clubs as he considers where to continue his playing career. The 36-year-old Ghana forward has been without a club since leaving NAC Breda in the summer but does not intend to retire yet.
Ayew disclosed his situation during an appearance on the Obi One Podcast, hosted by former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi in Accra on Sunday. He said he was assessing the available options before deciding on his next destination.
The former Black Stars captain is also weighing how his next move will affect his family. His children are growing, making their needs part of the decision alongside his football ambitions.
While without a club, Ayew has continued training in Ghana. He has also regularly played in Legon, where FC Nania usually hosts its home matches. The club was founded by his father, Ghana legend Abedi Pele.
Ayew also revealed that he has served as FC Nania’s chief executive officer for the past few years. His involvement with the club has added to his work in Ghana football while he continues to search for a playing opportunity.
There have been claims that Ayew could eventually seek a leadership role in Ghana football, including a possible bid for the Ghana Football Association presidency in 2027. For now, however, his stated priority is helping Ghana football develop rather than pursuing an administrative position. His immediate focus remains completing negotiations with clubs and extending his career on the pitch.
