Arsenal seek sale of Gabriel Martinelli this summer

Arsenal are actively looking to sell Gabriel Martinelli during the current summer transfer window. The club has already presented the Brazilian winger to various markets in an attempt to secure a deal.

With two years left on his current contract, the situation is viewed as a critical window for the Gunners. If the winger remains at the Emirates for another season, his contract will reduce to just one year, which would significantly lower his market value and the fee Arsenal could command.

To avoid this, Arsenal have set a minimum asking price of €50m (£43m). While Turkish clubs have shown interest and are prepared to meet this valuation, Martinelli has rejected the prospect of moving to Turkey. The club also explored a move to Saudi Arabia, but the player has dismissed that destination as an option for his career.

This refusal of certain markets narrows the list of potential buyers capable of meeting the €50m requirement. While Premier League clubs remain a realistic possibility, Arsenal face the complication of potentially strengthening a direct domestic rival by facilitating a sale within England.

Because the player's preferences limit the available options, Arsenal are in a difficult position. If a suitable buyer from a preferred market does not emerge, the club may be forced to keep Martinelli for another season, moving closer to the contract situation they are trying to avoid.
