Asante Kotoko complete signing of defender Aristote Ntangu Tamuzi

Asante Kotoko have signed Congolese centre-back Aristote Ntangu Tamuzi on a two-year deal as they prepare for the 2026/27 season.

Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Congolese centre-back Aristote Ntangu Tamuzi on a two-year contract. The 27-year-old joins the Kumasi club ahead of the 2026/27 campaign after agreeing personal terms during the transfer deadline period.

Ntangu adds another defensive option to a Kotoko squad being assembled for the new season. His arrival forms part of the club’s efforts to strengthen its team as it prepares to compete on multiple fronts.

The defender began his career in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he played for JS Tshangu and AS New Soger. He later continued his career in Eswatini with Mbabane Highlanders, Vovovo FC and Mbabane Swallows.

His experience in both countries gives Kotoko a centre-back who has played in different club environments. The defender is also described as tall and hardworking, with physical strength and a strong focus on his defensive duties.

Ntangu is due to meet his new teammates at training on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The session will give Kotoko’s technical team an opportunity to assess him in person and start his integration into the squad.

The signing increases the depth available in Kotoko’s backline before the start of the 2026/27 season. It also gives the coaching staff another experienced defender to consider as the club works to build a competitive squad.
