BKB posts TikTok watch-time mark above World Cup, Fox and ESPN

Bare Knuckle Boxing says its TikTok live shows are outperforming major sports properties, with 7:20 watched across the first 30 minutes of its third event.

Bare Knuckle Boxing has recorded stronger TikTok watch-time figures than major sports properties including the World Cup, Fox and ESPN. During the first 30 minutes of BKB’s third live event, viewers watched for an average of seven minutes and 20 seconds.

The figure is well above the more than two-minute watch time achieved by FIFA’s World Cup live streams on TikTok. Two minutes is regarded as a strong result on a platform built around short-form video, making BKB’s early performance notable despite the promotion’s limited time on the service.

BKB began working with TikTok’s live sports division in June, with its preliminary bouts shown on the platform. The partnership has covered three events held in the United States and the United Kingdom. The broadcasts use a presentation led by Ellie Dempster, known for her work with Power Slap, and influencer Taylor Feingold.

The promotion has also added established boxing names to its events, including the Vargas brothers and former British featherweight champion Lee Selby. BKB chief executive David Tetreault said the promotion is already receiving performance figures that place it above other combat sports and several major sports leagues on TikTok, although overall viewing totals have not been made public.

TikTok’s live sports offering also includes ESPN, Fox, Red Bull and extreme sports content. Most Valuable Promotions was due to join the platform with its first live show at the time of the discussions. Tetreault, who previously held senior roles in Hollywood, Triller and Golden Boy Promotions, became involved with BKB in May last year and has worked with founder Mike Vazquez on an athlete-focused direction.

The next phase is planned around Miami, with BKB preparing additional live programming beyond the fights themselves. Chief marketing officer Loren Mack is overseeing that work, which is expected to introduce new content to the promotion’s TikTok operation within days.
