Boxer Kenzie Morrison’s Stage 4 Cancer Diagnosis Confirmed

Kenzie Morrison has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, with the 36-year-old boxer’s family urgently trying to arrange specialist treatment in Houston. Morrison initially disclosed that doctors had found stomach cancer after he spent about a month dealing with stomach and back problems.

A CAT scan led to the diagnosis before Morrison was sent to Tulsa for further CT and MRI examinations. He is now awaiting meetings with specialists, while efforts continue to transfer him to MD Anderson in Houston. The immediate obstacle is the cost of treatment and travel.

Morrison opened a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses. Family friend Tonya Wright is also organising a benefit raffle and has asked local businesses to donate products, services, gift certificates or experiences that could be used to raise further funds.

Tony Holden, who promoted Tommy Morrison and remained close to his sons after the former WBO heavyweight champion died in 2013, has joined the appeal for financial help. Holden said the situation required urgent action and that the family was working to get Kenzie to Houston as quickly as possible.

Kenzie’s brother, Trey Lippe Morrison, recently put aside their previous differences to support him publicly. Trey described the situation as the fight of Kenzie’s life and asked supporters to pray for his recovery.

Both brothers followed their father into boxing. Kenzie built a 22-1-2 professional record, including 20 victories by knockout, before moving into bare-knuckle competition. He made his BKFC debut in June 2025 by stopping Alex Davis after 63 seconds. A planned return in Philadelphia on July 3 did not happen because an opponent could not be secured, leaving his family and supporters focused on his medical treatment instead.
