Brennan Johnson hits back at O'Hara and Agbonlahor after insults

Brennan Johnson has responded to criticism from pundits Jamie O'Hara and Peter Agbonlahor. The Welsh international posted an eight-word reply on Instagram stating he had won more than both pundits combined.

The dispute followed a discussion on talkSPORT regarding Johnson's move from Crystal Palace to Everton. The transfer involved a rare swap deal where winger Dwight McNeil moved to Selhurst Park in exchange for Johnson, who signed a four-year contract with Everton.

During the broadcast, O'Hara suggested that Johnson had been a myth for several seasons and tended to hide during matches. Agbonlahor supported this by highlighting the low statistical output of both Johnson and McNeil last season. The pundits joked about the nature of the swap deal, with O'Hara describing the exchange as giving clubs "crap" in return for "crap."

Johnson's stint at Crystal Palace was marked by a lack of goals, as he failed to score in 26 appearances after arriving for a reported £35 million. He joins Everton to play under manager David Moyes at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Following the circulation of the video clip, O'Hara used X to clarify his position. He claimed the footage was taken out of context and insisted he was only criticizing the players' statistics from the previous season rather than their overall ability. O'Hara maintained that while Johnson has the necessary attributes, the player would have to admit his recent season was poor.
