Buruj academy sends Nigerian trio for football trials in UK
Raheem Salaudeen, Fawas Adeleke and Jacob Iyida have been registered for UK football trials through Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy.
Three young Nigerian footballers linked with Buruj Football Club and Buruj Sports Academy have been registered for trial opportunities in the United Kingdom. Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen, Fawas Ayomide Adeleke and Jacob Obiora Iyida will now have the chance to continue their development in a different football environment.
The opportunity gives the trio an opening to test themselves against players in the UK and experience coaching and playing methods outside Nigeria. It also marks a further stage in Buruj’s effort to create international routes for young footballers from the country.
Salaudeen, Adeleke and Iyida have built their progress through their time with the academy, where they have continued to show commitment and determination. The UK trials will allow them to apply those qualities while learning how the game is approached in another football culture.
For the players, the trip is intended to bring more than playing experience. It offers the chance to adapt to new demands, take guidance from coaches and gain a clearer understanding of the standards required in a different setting. Each member of the group has identified learning and improvement as key aims of the opportunity.
Adeleke is focused on developing his game and becoming familiar with another style of football, while Iyida sees the chance to play outside Nigeria as an important step towards his professional ambitions. Salaudeen is also aiming to compete confidently and use the experience to demonstrate the ability of young Nigerian players.
Buruj Football Club and Buruj Sports Academy view international exposure as part of a wider development pathway. The programme places emphasis on coaching, tactical education, confidence and personal growth, alongside preparation for potential professional careers. The UK opportunity therefore gives the three players a new platform to gain experience and build international connections as they pursue their football ambitions.
