Serie B side Catanzaro are considering a transfer for 19-year-old Torino defensive midfielder Wisdom Acquah to strengthen their squad.
Catanzaro are weighing up a potential move for Torino midfielder Wisdom Acquah. The Serie B club is assessing squad options and has identified the 19-year-old defensive midfielder as a target.
Acquah is an Italian-Ghanaian player who progressed through the youth ranks at Torino. He moved from the club's Under-20 team to the senior squad on 1 July 2026. Despite his promotion, the midfielder has not yet made a senior appearance for Torino in either Serie A or the Italian Cup.
During his time in the Primavera 1 division, the left-footed player made 31 appearances and recorded one assist. His youth career includes winning the Italian Under-18 championship with Torino during the 2024-25 season. The 1.84m tall midfielder was born in Calcinate.
Any transfer to Catanzaro would necessitate a deal between the two clubs. Acquah is currently under contract with Torino until 30 June 2029. No specific transfer fee has been linked to the interest from the Serie B side.
While Catanzaro look to bolster their roster for their campaign in the second tier, Torino remain in Italy's top flight. The move would represent a step into regular senior football for the young midfielder.
