Chelsea offered chance to sign Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly

Chelsea face competition from Manchester United for Arsenal's versatile 19-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly during this summer transfer window.

Chelsea have been presented with an opportunity to acquire Arsenal midfielder and defender Myles Lewis-Skelly. The West London club faces competition from Manchester United if they choose to pursue the English player during the current off-season transfer window.

The 19-year-old is a versatile option who can operate as a central midfielder or a left-back. During the previous campaign, Lewis-Skelly made ten Premier League appearances for the Gunners and recorded one assist. He was part of the Arsenal squad that secured the Premier League title.

Lewis-Skelly is noted for his energy, running, and ability to make interceptions through strong tackling. He is capable of creating scoring opportunities for teammates and possesses the ability to strike the ball with power when necessary. His experience in the Premier League suggests he could adapt quickly to a new environment.

Securing the player may prove difficult for Chelsea due to his long-term commitment to Arsenal. His current contract at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire in the summer of 2030, which limits the possibility of a low-cost transfer this month.

If Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso moves for the player, Lewis-Skelly could provide additional depth and quality to the squad. The youngster is viewed as a player capable of competing for a regular place in the first team and helping the club compete across multiple competitions in the coming years.
