Chiefs trio Hlongwane, Zwane and Molefe near Hope FC loans

Kaizer Chiefs players Naledi Hlongwane, Samkelo Zwane, and Bontle Molefe are nearing a move to Hope FC on loan. The newly-promoted Motsepe Foundation Championship side is close to finalizing an agreement with the Soweto giants for the three players.

Naledi Hlongwane progressed through the Kaizer Chiefs youth system and was part of the DStv Diski Challenge winning squad during the 2024/25 campaign. He made his first appearance for the senior team in August last year during a match against Stellenbosch FC in Cape Town.

Samkelo Zwane has found it difficult to secure a regular starting position in the senior team following his promotion from the reserve ranks. Since his senior debut in the 2022/23 season, the 24-year-old has recorded just over 1,500 minutes of playing time. He also spent the last season on loan at Siwelele FC, where he played 230 minutes.

Bontle Molefe has faced challenges breaking into the senior squad over the past few seasons. A previous attempt to secure a season-long loan move to Real Native FC failed after negotiations between the two clubs collapsed at the final stage.

The potential move to Hope FC offers the trio a chance to gain more competitive minutes away from Amakhosi.
