Dombila makes FC Noah debut in 1-0 Fastex Premier League win

Ghana defender Clinton Dombila made his FC Noah debut as the Armenian leaders beat BKMA Yerevan 1-0 in the Fastex Premier League.

Clinton Dombila made his competitive debut for FC Noah in a 1-0 victory over BKMA Yerevan in round four of the Fastex Premier League. The result kept Noah’s perfect record intact, with four wins from four matches and 12 points at the top of the table.

The Ghanaian defender entered the match from the bench, replacing compatriot Eric Boakye. Boakye had started the game and played a direct role in the winning goal before making way for Dombila.

Zaven Khudverdyan broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute, giving Noah the lead in a closely contested match. BKMA had an opportunity to respond from the penalty spot 10 minutes later, but Marko Lazetic failed to convert as Noah preserved its advantage.

Dombila’s appearance began his competitive career with Noah after his recent move to the Armenian club. The defender will now aim to establish himself in the team as the season continues, having started his time at the club as a substitute.

Another Ghanaian, Brian Oddei, also featured for Noah and played the first 45 minutes. Dombila and his teammates will next meet FC Ararat, the defender’s former club, in an early return against his previous employers.
