Eniola Bolaji remains in Peru for elite para badminton training

Paralympic bronze medallist Eniola Bolaji will stay in Peru until August 15 to participate in a high-level training camp following her recent tournament win.

Paralympic Games bronze medallist Eniola Bolaji has extended her stay in Peru to participate in an elite para badminton training camp. The Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) President, Francis Orbih, confirmed that the athlete will remain in the country until August 15.

This decision follows Bolaji's victory at the Peru Para Badminton International 2026. She secured the championship title on Sunday, August 9, after defeating Brazil's Kauana Beckenkamp with a 2-0 scoreline of 21-12, 21-12.

The training programme is a collaborative effort involving the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, Badminton PanAm, and the Badminton Confederation Africa (BCA). It is a specialized camp intended for high-level para badminton competitors.

Orbih stated that the camp serves as a vital component of Bolaji's preparation for her upcoming schedule. The training is designed to help her maintain momentum as she prepares for the championships in Thailand and Indonesia later this year.

By attending this high-level programme, Bolaji aims to strengthen her performance ahead of the remaining international competitions in the 2026 calendar.
