Everton eye £25m Crystal Palace right-back Daniel Muñoz

Crystal Palace are prepared to sell Daniel Muñoz this summer for a fee of roughly £25 million. The Colombian wing-back has become surplus to requirements at Selhurst Park following the club's acquisition of Anan Khalaili.

Everton are currently linked with the defender as they look to address a vacancy at right-back. The squad is currently lacking natural options in that position following the departure of Seamus Coleman and the decision that Nathan Patterson does not fit into David Moyes's plans. While Jake O'Brien has been covering the role, he is a natural centre-back.

Muñoz offers significant statistical output from his previous campaign in the Premier League. During the 2025/26 season, he recorded four goals and four assists in 29 appearances. His creative numbers included 27 chances created and 3.97 expected assists, while he averaged 1.8 successful tackles per 90 minutes.

His international pedigree is also notable, having scored two goals for Colombia during their 2026 World Cup campaign before they were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Switzerland. This profile makes him a primary target compared to other investigated options such as Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Alistair Johnston.

Competition for the player is expected from Nottingham Forest. Former Palace manager Oliver Glasner, who is now at Forest, is interested in reuniting with the defender. Everton have previously maintained a productive transfer relationship with Crystal Palace, most recently evidenced by the deal for Brennan Johnson.
