Galatasaray President says Victor Osimhen is not for sale

Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has declared that the club will not entertain any offers for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window. The club president stated that the forward is not for sale, regardless of the financial value of any incoming bids.

Özbek made these comments following links connecting the Nigerian international to Premier League champions Arsenal. Reports suggested the Gunners are interested in the striker and might include Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli and midfielder Ethan Nwaneri as part of a potential transfer package.

Other interest in the striker has been linked to the Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. However, the Galatasaray leadership has maintained a firm stance on retaining their player.

Özbek compared the situation to that of Barış Alper Yılmaz, noting that his position regarding Osimhen is even more resolute. He confirmed that the club intends to hold onto the striker despite external interest.

Osimhen's recent form includes a brace in the opening match of the Turkish Super Lig season. The striker scored twice in a 2-2 draw for Okan Buruk's side against Arca Çorum FK on Friday night.
