Galatasaray reject Al-Hilal interest in Victor Osimhen

The Turkish Super Lig champions have officially declined an approach from Al-Hilal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Galatasaray have ruled out the possibility of selling Victor Osimhen to Al-Hilal. The Turkish Super Lig champions informed the Saudi Arabian club that they have no intention of parting with their primary attacker.

This decision follows a formal approach from Al-Hilal to secure the services of the Nigerian international. The Saudi Arabian side has entered the race for the striker as they look to facilitate the sale of former Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema before the current summer transfer window concludes.

Osimhen has been a significant figure for Galatasaray since his arrival from Napoli. His statistical output has been high, with the striker recording 59 goals and providing 16 assists in 74 appearances across all competitions for the club.

These performances have led to renewed speculation regarding the striker's future in Istanbul. Several clubs across Europe and in other parts of the world have been monitoring his situation as the transfer window progresses.

Despite the interest from Al-Hilal and the various clubs keeping watch on the Nigerian's status, Galatasaray have maintained their position. The club has made it clear that the striker is not available for transfer to the Saudi Arabian side.

Al-Hilal's pursuit of Osimhen is linked to their broader squad management, specifically the potential departure of Benzema. However, the Turkish champions have responded to the approach by confirming their desire to keep their top scorer.
