GFA to release 2026/27 Division One League fixtures on August 18

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that the fixtures for the 2026/27 Division One League season will be made public on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. This announcement provides a timeline for the 48 clubs participating in the second tier of Ghanaian football.

Clubs are currently preparing for the new campaign following the end of the 2025/26 season and the ongoing 2026 X1 Energy Drink Division One League Super Cup in Obuasi. The upcoming schedule will reveal the opening day matchups and derby fixtures for all teams involved in the competition.

The new season is scheduled to begin in September 2026. The release of the schedule follows a season where Swedru All Blacks, Hohoe United, and Eleven Wonders earned promotion to the Ghana Premier League by winning their respective zones.

Several clubs are entering the division with different objectives. Newly promoted sides including Debibi United, FC AshantiGold, and Port City FC are preparing for their first season in the top flight. Meanwhile, former Premier League sides such as Real Tamale United, Ebusua Dwarfs, New Edubiase United, Elmina Sharks, and Okwahu United will compete for promotion back to the highest level.
