Ghanaian defender Derrick Mensah Antwi joins Recre Granada
Derrick Mensah Antwi has signed a contract with Spanish side Recre Granada until June 2027 following his departure from Trival Valderas.
Ghanaian centre-back Derrick Mensah Antwi has moved to Recre Granada from Trival Valderas. The 22-year-old defender signed a deal that keeps him at the Spanish club until 30 June 2027.
The transfer was finalised on 12 August 2026 as a free move. This marks the second time the player has moved without a transfer fee, having previously joined Trival Valderas from the Ghanaian outfit WAFA SC earlier in 2026.
Antwi, who stands 1.86m tall, is continuing his progression within the Spanish football system. He arrived in the country in January after leaving WAFA SC, and his latest move comes at the beginning of the 2026-27 campaign.
Before this latest transfer, the defender accumulated senior competitive experience in both Ghana and Spain. His recorded statistics include 36 appearances and one goal in the Premier League, alongside six appearances and one goal in the Promocion a 2a Federacion.
Born on 1 June 2004, the Ghana international provides Recre Granada with defensive depth. The club, which also identifies its senior team as Recreativo Granada, has secured his services through the end of the 2027 season.
