Isaac Cruz visits Tacubaya Pediatric Hospital in Mexico City

Mexican boxer Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz visited the Tacubaya Pediatric Hospital in Mexico City on Thursday. The visit was organized through the WBC Cares community outreach program to support patients and their families.

During the visit, Cruz toured the burn unit and the infant care unit. The hospital provides treatment to children and teenagers ranging from 1 to 17 years old who are recovering from various degrees of burns. Cruz spent time with the young patients, listening to their experiences and offering encouragement.

Cruz stated that seeing the happiness on the children's faces was a rewarding experience. He noted that as a father and an uncle, he felt a responsibility to provide a moment of joy to the parents who are showing resilience during these difficult circumstances.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán said that Cruz serves as an example of how champions can use their presence to inspire children. Christiane Manzur, the leader of WBC Cares Mexico, added that the visit was a moving experience and expressed gratitude to Cruz for his dedication to the children.

The visit comes ahead of Cruz's next professional fight. He is scheduled to defend his WBC Interim Super Lightweight title against Néstor Bravo of Puerto Rico on Saturday, September 19. The match will take place at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego as part of a Premier Boxing Champions event broadcast on DAZN.
