Jamie O'Hara names Erling Haaland to win Premier League Golden Boot
Former midfielder Jamie O'Hara believes Erling Haaland faces no real competition in his pursuit of a fourth Premier League Golden Boot award.
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O'Hara believes Erling Haaland will face little opposition in his attempt to secure a fourth Premier League Golden Boot. The Manchester City striker is aiming to equal the scoring records of Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah.
O'Hara stated that he does not believe any other player in the league can compete with the Norwegian forward. Haaland has maintained a high scoring rate since moving from Borussia Dortmund to English football four summers ago.
In his first season in the Premier League, Haaland scored 36 goals and helped Manchester City secure a continental treble. He followed this by scoring 27 goals the next season, a campaign that saw City win their fourth consecutive league title and their sixth title in seven years.
Haaland's pursuit of a third consecutive Golden Boot was interrupted in 2025 when Liverpool won the league title. Despite City failing to win the league during Pep Guardiola's tenth and final season at the club, Haaland scored 27 goals to claim his third Golden Boot.
Last season, Brentford's Thiago finished as the runner-up in the Golden Boot race. Thiago recorded 22 goals, which was five strikes fewer than Haaland's total.
