Jamie Vardy leads full list of longest Premier League scoring runs

Jamie Vardy remains the Premier League’s leading scorer for consecutive appearances, having found the net in 11 straight matches. Ruud van Nistelrooy is the only other player to reach double figures, with a run of 10 consecutive league games.

Vardy produced his record streak between August 29 and November 28, 2015, during Leicester City’s title-winning 2015/16 season. His goals helped sustain Leicester’s remarkable campaign, and his mark has survived for a decade without being surpassed.

Van Nistelrooy had previously held the record with his 10-match sequence for Manchester United. That run ended on August 23, 2003, after the Dutch forward had scored in every league appearance across the streak.

The former United striker also features with an eight-match run that ended on January 19, 2002. Daniel Sturridge reached the same number with Liverpool, completing his sequence on February 23, 2014. Vardy appears again among the leading runs after scoring in eight consecutive Premier League appearances in December 2019.

A Swedish forward at Newcastle also recorded eight successive scoring appearances, with that sequence ending on January 15, 2025. The leading group is completed by players who managed seven straight matches: Mohamed Salah achieved the feat twice, Erling Haaland did so during the 2022/23 season, Taiwo Awoniyi scored in seven consecutive league games for Nottingham Forest, and Thierry Henry matched the mark for Arsenal.

Salah’s first seven-match sequence ended on October 24, 2021, while Haaland’s run ended on October 8, 2022. Awoniyi’s streak finished on August 26, 2023, and Henry completed his seven-game run on May 9, 2000. Vardy’s 11 remains the clear benchmark, ahead of Van Nistelrooy’s 10 and the players tied on eight or seven.
