Hearts of Oak nearing three-year deal for Mamudu

Hearts of Oak are close to finalizing a three-year contract for Ivorian attacker Abdoul Kader Kuruma Mamudu. The Ghanaian club is currently in the advanced stages of negotiations to secure the services of the forward.

Mamudu has already returned to Ghana and is participating in training sessions with the Phobians. The club expects to complete the final formalities of the transfer within the coming days.

Interest in the forward was first established in January when he participated in a training stint with the club. A permanent move could not be concluded during that period because Hearts of Oak were operating under a transfer ban.

The club's ability to recruit new players has resumed following the lifting of that transfer restriction. This development occurred after Hearts of Oak settled compensation owed to former technical director René Hiddink regarding the wrongful termination of his contract.

With the ban now removed, Mamudu has rejoined the first team for training as both parties work toward completing the proposed move. The potential signing is intended to strengthen the Hearts of Oak attack as the club builds its squad for the upcoming domestic campaign.
